Curating Ray Howk's Retrospective

At Paul Elledge's exhibition reception at SIU's Sharp Museum, I was introduced to another SIU Photo alumni, Todd Davis. He learned that I played a pivotal role in securing and bringing Paul's exhibit to SIU's campus and inquired if I had any influence in hosting an exhibit for his late friend and colleague, Ray Howk. He shared a dissertation by Washington University Phd graduate student, Kelly Fisher-Bishop, which was a fascinating investigation and visual story about how Ray's street photography documented the transformation of downtown St. Louis in the 1970s and 1980s.
